Bio and Inspiration

My name is Hannah May.   I was initially drawn to ceramics by my ambitions to open my own tea shop and create my own pots to be used in it.  My dreams now are to have a working studio, conveniently located so that I can spend my working hours designing and making pots, and maybe someday I or someone else will have a business that uses my pots.  I'm still a tea lover and find inspiration in cultures with strong tea influence like Great Britain, India, and Japan.

Logan Hunter & Hannah May at Thea Arts Festival

Logan Hunter and I met in the ceramics program at our college while he was building the dept's first wood-fired kiln.  We have been working together since.

We share a studio and sell our work together at events and online.
